The Midwest Urban Film Festival takes place in the United States. The Film Festival is a for profit organization for the fund raising and development of independent film companies. Founded by Alex Thomas, creator of The Promoter Magazine, the festival’s goal it to become an international resource for thousands of independent filmmakers. It offers educational workshops and exposure to major outlets. This festival could be described as “creative risk taking at it’s best.”
This festival is open to all film genres with a focus on the Urban Market. Workshops and clinics for actors, writers, producers, music producers, as well as financial support and networking opportunities will be available.
The 1st Annual festival will take place at Cobo Hall in Detroit: July 28-30, 2006.
