The McLean Group is a national, middle-market investment bank providing mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital formation, market intelligence, business valuation, litigation support and exit planning services to businesses generating up to $500 million in annual revenues. Headquartered in Washington, DC’s technology, communications and government contracting corridor, the firm is among the largest independent middle-market investment banks in the region.
The McLean Group is among the few private, middle-market investment banks with a national presence and international reach. This gives The McLean Group’s clients the ability to leverage M&A transactions on both a national and international level. In addition, engagements are handled by experienced senior managing directors, which typically is not the case with larger investment banks.
Founded in 1995 by Chairman Dennis Roberts, The McLean Group leveraged its excellent reputation for business valuation services. The McLean Group quickly built a presence in the Washington, DC market by serving such notable clients as The Motley Fool, Quantum Alliance and The Estate of Richard Nixon. By the late 1990s, The McLean Group had created a name for itself in the middle-market investment banking community. Such publications as The Washington Post, The Business Journal, and Smart CEO Magazine have featured The McLean Group and its partners in various articles, spurring the firm's growth.
