The Mark Four
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Mark Four were a pop band from Hertfordshire, England. Members included Kenny Pickett vocals, Eddie Phillips -guitar, John Dalton - bass and Jack Jones - drums. The group put out four singles, then Dalton left to join The Kinks and Bob Garner replaced him.
Soon after this change in line-up, they became The Creation and went on to record a numbers of singles between 1966 and 1968 including the top forty hit song "Painter Man". A couple of albums were also released on continent only as they were more popular there (especially Germany) than in England.
