A chilly robber is robbing a post-office at Luciaday morning. The policemen Johansson and Jarnebring are the first on the set and they chase the robber who escapes. Shortly after a young man dies in a car accident and a alcoholic is found dead at a graveyard. After a while it is clear that these incidents has something to do with the robbery, and when the policemen are investigating further into the case, they are beginning to reveal a bigger scandal. Meanwhile it seems that there is a cover up going on.
The movie is based on the novel “Grisfesten” by Leif GW Persson. The novel is partly based on the Geijer-affair where there was a rumour that the Minister of Justice and some other powerful people in Sweden had been with younger prostitutes. There was however no evidence of this, and the case was closed. But there are still those who believe that this wasn’t enough investigated, and the debate has continued to this very day.
