The Malki Foundation

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Malki Foundation is a charity based in the city of Jerusalem in Israel that helps out the families of children with disabilities in Israel. It was founded in 2001 by the family of Malka Chana (Malki) Roth, a fifteen year-old Australian born Jerusalem girl with a deep devotion to children who have special needs. Malki was murdered in a terrorist massacre with fourteen others. The foundation exists as a memorial to her life. (The word "Keren" means foundation in Hebrew.)

Most families with disabled children have a difficult time finding equipment and services outside of an institution. The foundation's assistance allows families to keep their child at home with other siblings and the parents. All services and equipment are provided at no cost to the families. People of all religions and backgrounds are helped; the only thing that is required is a proven need.
