The Maine is an American pop punk band from Tempe, Arizona.

The Maine formed in 2007 while most of the band's members were still attending high school.[1] They signed to Fearless Records that same year, who issued their debut EP, The Way We Talk.[2][3][4][5][6] The record hit #45 on the U.S. Billboard Top Independent Albums chart and #10 on the Heatseekers chart in 2008.[7] The group has played with bands such as Paramore, Bayside, This Providence,[8] Just Surrender, Lorene Drive,[9] Powerspace, Danger Radio, The Secret Handshake, Forever The Sickest Kids, The Cab, Metro Station, Good Charlotte, and Boys Like Girls. The group's debut full-length, Can't Stop, Won't Stop is being produced by Matt Squire and is due for release on July 8, 2008[10].[9]
