[edit] Synopsis
The school receives a new kickball and Gus is selected to be the first person to use it by drawing lots. He accidentally kicks the ball over the school fence into 'the yard of no return' and eventually overcomes his fears and goes over the fence to find it. When he disappears, the other students go to the front of the house to demand his return, and find out the house is owned by a kind old woman who returns to them all of the balls that have been kicked over her fence in the past.
