The Lonely Position of Neutral is TRUST Co.'s first album, it was released on July 22, 2002 internationally and a day later in the United States. The album was certified gold for sales in excess of 500,000 copies.

- It was published July 23, 2002 by Geffen Records. On February 19, 2003 the version with the bonus track was published.
- "Take It All" was also included in the Xbox game Breakdown by Namco. It is played in the ending credits, and it is also included in the game's promotional video that is unlocked once the game is finished.
- The song "Downfall" appears in the Mercy Reef (or Aquaman) pilot teaser.
- The song "Downfall" also appears in the video games "BMX XXX" and "Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure."
- Two songs from this album, "Downfall" and "Falling Apart", were used as themes for WWE pay-per-views. "Downfall" was used as the theme for Vengeance 2002, while "Falling Apart" was used as the theme for Royal Rumble 2003.
