Valentine's Day. Kirsten is mad at Sandy. Sandy tells his old friend Max that he can't take the case of clearing his daughters name, but when he comes back to bring him tea, he finds him dead. Sandy tells Rebecca that she should stay after she calls him to say she was leaving. Kirsten being the loving wife that she is tells Sandy that he can go and say goodbye if he wants, she won't stop him. To Kirsten dismay, he leaves. Rebecca and Sandy kiss, but he leaves to go back to Kirsten. Only when he gets there, she shuts the door in his face with the chorus of Bell X1's Eve, The Apple Of My Eye playing in the background.
Seth doesn't know how to deal with the tension between him and Summer. Things get even worse when both of them and Summer's boyfriend Zach go to San Diego to present their comic book to a publisher. He's afraid that Zach and Summer could have sex in their hotel room, next to his room. The next day, when they are having their presentation, Seth screws it up and the comic book company refuses to make a contract.
Lindsay wants Ryan to apologize to Caleb. Ryan tries, but they have an argument again. They decide to play a game of pool. If Caleb wins, Ryan will stay away from Lindsay, if Ryan wins, Caleb won't sabotage the relationship again. Ryan wins
Julie wants to improve her relationship with Marissa. She talks her into having dinner with her. Afterwards, Marissa meets Alex and have their first date on a beach. Then they kiss.
