Built more than 130 years ago in 1874, 34C Gabriels Hill, Maidstone was once a seed and grain warehouse. In 1992 the venue was converted from a small function room into a music lover’s nightclub.
Over the past 15 years The Loft has played home to many club nights including Hed Kandi, Sounds Heavenly, Fling, Serious and Nic Fanciulli’s ClubClass. Some of the world’s finest DJs have performed at the venue, including Erick Morillo, Deep Dish, John Digweed, Danny Howells and Pete Tong, who broadcast his set live on BBC Radio 1 in February 2005.
The Loft has become a part of a music lover’s night out in the South-East in part due its soundsystem, low ceilings, atmosphere and focus on music.
