"The Little Voice" is a 2000 song by Swedish pop rock singer Sahlene, written by Kara DioGuardi and Patrik Berger (see 2000 in music). It was the second single from her debut album, The Little Voice, and it had heavy promotion and the accompaniment of a lavish music video. It peaked at number fifty-one on the singles chart in Sweden, and Sahlene's record label went bankrupt before the release of her album.[1][2] The B-side on the single is "Hush Hush".
American pop singer Hilary Duff recorded a cover of the song for her first album, Metamorphosis (2003). Her cover, which is titled "Little Voice" and features different lyrics from the original, was released as the third single from the album. Buena Vista Records and Disney released the CD single in Australia on 15 June 2004 (see 2004 in music); it included an exclusive track, a dance remix of "Party Up".[3] The song reached number twenty-nine in Australia[4] and Canada. The music video is from a performance of the song during Duff's Girl Can Rock tour.
Mexican pop group RBD recorded a Spanish cover of "The Little Voice", titled "Tu Dulce Voz" (Your Sweet Voice), which is included on their third studio album, Celestial (2006). In 2007, RBD recorded an English cover of "Little Voice" for inclusion on their second English language studio album, Celestial (Japanese version).
