[edit] History
The site was started by Tessa Lau in 1995. She collected games from SunSITE's Linux games directories, and classic X11 games - for a database of just over 100 games.[1]
In 1998 maintenance was taken over by Bob Zimbinski who has run the site since that time.[1][2]
The database now contains well over 1,000 games and game-related items and also now includes a user rating system, active discussion forums, and an IRC channel.
It also provides forums for game developers and has organized several make overs of almost-there Linux games such as Lincity.
