The Light Brigade [1]is a rock band based in London, England. The five-piece group, formed in 2006, draws inspiration from bands such as the Cure, The Pixies and Smashing Pumpkins. The group released their self-titled EP referred to as the 'You Always Talk EP,' the name of its first track, in 2007. The EP was reviewed by Fuse magazine, which wrote "the band make a searing guitar based noise that leaves a star trail... The Light Brigade sound sits comfortably in the darker, ice boxes of 2007."

The magazine Rock Sound gave the EP 7 out of 10. Subba-Cultcha, the music review website, described the EP as a "clever bundle of indie effervescence," and wrote, "TLB deal in power pop punches and cocksure indie rock scissor kicks - infectious and thrilling."

The Light Brigade's song "NYC," was featured in the Lowslung new music podcast, which described the sound of The Light Brigade as "riotous powerpop."
