The Library and Museum of Freemasonry

The Library and Museum of Freemasonry is a library and registered museum in central London, England, covering Freemasonry.
The museum has a collection of objects including Masonic decoration, such as clocks, furniture, glassware, jewelry, porcelain, pottery, regalia and silver. Displayed items include belongings of famous Freemasons such as King Edward VII and Winston Churchill.
The library and museum are open Monday to Friday 10am–5pm and entry is free of charge.
The Library and Museum of Freemasonry holds, in addition to its core Masonic collections, a wide selection of items relating to Friendly Societies such as the Oddfellows, Foresters and many other societies both current and dead. A large collection of Friendly Societies books are also held by the library.
The Library and Museum is run by a Board of Management, and is registered as a charity with the Charity Commission (Registered Charity number 1058497). The Director is currently Mrs Diana Clements. Other staff include Mr Martin Cherry, the librarian and Mr Mark Dennis the Curator of the Museum. Neither are Freemasons.
The Library and Museum holds regular study days, and a large summer exhibition each year, as well as several smaller exhibitions during the course of the year. The Summer 2007 exhibition, which ran until September 2007, was entitled "Tokens of Unwritten Lives: The Folk art of Fraternity".
Their currently is an exhibition in the Library about the Centenary of the Order of Women Freemasons, which runs from June to September 2008, and is free. The main Summer exhibition is on the subject of Masonic Dining, and will run from July to December 2008, and is also free. see[1]
The Library and Museum is open to the general public, and hourly tours of the building are given, including a tour of the Grand Temple. Use of the library is restricted to members who hold a Library card. Telephone +44(0)20 7395 9257 for further information, Mon-Fri 10am to 4.30pm
