From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Legend of Lucy Keyes is a 2006 film directed and written by John Stimpson, and starring Julie Delpy.
[edit] Plot
It is a story about a girl who went missing in 1755 after following her sisters to fetch some sand from a nearby lake. She vanished without a trace and both her parents died without knowing what really happened to her. As the legend tells, her mother, Martha, still haunts Mount Wachusett in Princeton, Massachusetts to this day, calling for her lost child. Much speculation surrounds the mysterious fate of Lucy. The most common explanation of her disappearance is that she hit her head on a rock and died then the neighbor stuffed her body in a tree. However, there is also evidence of a feud between Robert Keyes and his neighbor, Tilly Littlejohn, over their property lines and a death bed confession of murder from Littlejohn.
