The Last Song is the final single for the album Theory of a Deadman, by Theory of a Deadman. This song was originally going to be called "Theory of a Deadman", but they then changed it to the band's early name, "Last Song", and, in turn, changed the band's name to Theory of a Deadman.
[edit] About the Song
At a show at The Vogue in Indianapolis during the Breaking Benjamin/Exies tour, lead singer Tyler Connolly stated that the song was written from the perspective of a deceased individual who had committed suicide.[citation needed] The lyrics represent his regret towards killing him/herself (I missed her sweet smell, I miss it everyday....etc.) and are written in the first person form.
