[edit] Renata
(About the band prior to the Last Goodnight)
In 2004 Renata was playing a show at the Whisky a Go Go, in Los Angeles, California[1]. In the crowd that night was Jeff Blue, VP of A&R from Warner Brothers. Blue is known for signing major acts such as Macy Gray and Linkin Park. The next day Blue met with Renata at his office to discuss the future of their band. This started 2 years of song writing, traveling back and forth from Connecticut to Blue's Hollywood office. In late 2006 the band was signed to Virgin Records and has since then changed their name to The Last Goodnight.
[edit] The Last Goodnight
In July 2007, the band started a 9 week, 36 stop tour of America to promote the release of their new album, Poison Kiss. Touring with them were Rocco DeLuca and the Burden. Following this, the band joined Elliott Yamin (and fellow opening act Josh Hoge) on his fall tour for a 31-city stint across the country (with two stops in Canada), beginning on October 5th in Chicago, IL at Park West and ending on November 26th in Washington DC at the 9:30 Club.
The song "Pictures of You" was used for the Season Two promo clip for the American television series Brothers & Sisters.
"Pictures of You" was featured as a free download on Apple's iTunes Music Store
"Pictures of You" was used for Sportscenter's images of 2007 video.
The Last Goodnight are heading down to Australia to promote their album, after massive success with Pictures Of You. They will also be playing three live concerts to promote and will also promote their latest single. "Stay Beautiful".
