The Larry Sanders Show is a fictional television show within the HBO show of the same name, The Larry Sanders Show. The fictitious show first went to air (within The Larry Sanders Show continuity) in 1987 and is a late night talk show in the style of The Tonight Show and The Late Show, which are referred to as some of the show's main competitors.

The Larry Sanders Show resides on fictitious television network that's name is never mentioned during the entire run of the show. The characters only refer to it as "the network." The network's parent company is Unidac Electronics, which also manufactures garage door openers.
