The Larry Sanders Show is a fictional television show within the HBO show of the same name, The Larry Sanders Show. The fictitious show first went to air (within The Larry Sanders Show continuity) in 1987 and is a late night talk show in the style of The Tonight Show and The Late Show, which are referred to as some of the show's main competitors.
