The Lace is Benjamin Orr's 1986 solo debut album. Orr was a member of The Cars, a highly-successful New Wave band, and this was his only solo album. It was moderately successful, with "Stay The Night" becoming a Top 40 hit. Orr died in 2000, and original copies of The Lace are considered a rare find, especially the few Elektra CD copies, which sell for around $75. Wounded Bird Records re-released this album on CD on August 15, 2006.
