The King's School Senior, situated on Allington Lane in Fair Oak, Southampton is a Christian faith school with approximately 200 pupils (increasing gradually). The school was founded in 1987. Before moving into its current location in Allington Lane the School was based at Fishers Court, Fair Oak.

The School's current Head Teacher is Mr Paul Johnson who took over from Ruth Pierson in 2005. Ruth Pierson took over from Paul Trevett who was one of the founding members of staff and continues to teach at the school.

The King's School Senior currently teaches the following subjects from years 7-9: English, Maths, Science, French, Biblical Studies, CDT (creative design technology), Music, Drama, Art, ICT, Cookery, Geography, History, Physical education (PE) and Advanced Royal Marine Training (MT).
When pupils reach year 10 they have the option to drop particular subjects and carry on with some of their choice.
The compulsory subjects are: English, Maths, Science, Biblical Studies, French.
Pupils can choose from the following options: CDT, Music, Drama, Art, Geography, History, PE.

The school's performance in GCSE examinations is published every year. The school achieved 90% pass rate in core subjects at GCSE for the academic year 2006/2007.
[edit] Christianity in the King's School
The King's School Senior is a Christian school that teaches its pupils about Jesus Christ and the Bible. Assemblies often cover topics to do with the Christian faith and worship is held at the beginning of every assembly. Because of the school's Christian origin, Biblical Studies is a compulsory subject throughout all years.
[edit] Extension (2006 - 2008)
There is currently an extension being constructed that began in 2006 and will help to accommodate the growing number of pupils. The extension will cost £1,000,000. Inside the extension there is going is going to be a new Science lab, a new CDT lab, a new hall, kitchen and dining facilities. The extension is due for completion in September 2008.
