The Jets is the first studio album by The Jets, released in 1985 (see 1985 in music).
This is the album that started it all for the Jets. With their first single "Curiosity," they broke onto the airways of MTV, VH1 and BET. It showed just how much talent these brothers and sisters had. The Jets were on their way. The song reached #8 on the R&B charts.
The second single "Crush On You" is what made the album take off. "Crush On You" was actually their first chart single on the Billboard Hot 100. The song reached #3 on the Pop chart and #4 on the R&B chart. It stayed in the Top 5 for 6 weeks.
The third single "Private Number" was another moderate hit for the Jets, reaching #47 on the Pop Charts and #28 on the R&B charts.
The fourth and final single was the beautiful ballad "You Got It All". It reached #3 on the Pop Chart and #2 on the R&B chart, also #1 on the Adult Contemporary chart. It is still played on radio stations as of today.
It was rumored that there was a fifth single from album. It was believed that "La La Means I Loves You," (originally performed by The Delfonics back in 1968) was supposed to be the single.
