IMDb profile |
The Jammed is a 2007 thriller film written and directed by Dee McLachlan.
The film is a story about human trafficking and the sex slave trade in Melbourne. And the search for three girls trapped by a trafficking syndicate. Court transcripts and actual events were an influence in the production of the film.
After receiving very favourable reviews from film critics David Stratton and Margaret Pomeranz alongside many positive print reviews the film's limited engagement proved to be a word-of-mouth hit. Its original distribution plan of a brief theatrical run followed by a DVD release one month later was altered and was released simultaneously around the country due to record-breaking cinema takings, immense popularity and large audiences.
