[edit] About the show
The Intersection was an interactive news and talk program produced by WETA in Arlington, Va. and first aired on 17 July 2006 on WETA 90.9 FM. The host, Rebecca Roberts, often talked to local residents of Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC about current issues such as jay walking, immigration, taxes, elections, and more. The program had two reporters -- Wilma Consul and Eric Niiler -- who conducted remote interviews and produced packaged pieces from various DC-area locations. The program also had a website that features blog entries from Rebecca Roberts, Wilma Consul, Eric Niiler, and the producers and staff of The Intersection. The program was available online as a podcast. Until it was cancelled in January 2007, The Intersection aired live, Monday through Friday, at 11:00 a.m. on WETA 90.9 FM.
