The Indie Soul Movement.

The Indie Soul Movement is a band that was formed in 2003 by young up and coming vocalist/songwriter Mutch Katsonga in London,England. The Indie Soul Movement have been likened to Seal,Tracy Chapman, and George Michael.

The Indie Soul Movement incoporates elements of soul/pop/jazz/funk. Mutch Katsonga is the main songwriting force behind the band. He is already regarded as one of popular music's true visionaries who draws emphasis to the purity of song.

The Indie Soul Movement garnered kudos on the London gig circuit for much of 2003/2004 being described by Soma Soma Scene Magazine as one of the most exciting acts on the London gig circiut.They also appeared in the New Musical Express Magazine twice. They signed a distribution deal with Turmic Records in 2004 and released their debut EP in 2005. 2006 saw them released their debut album,again on Turmic Records. The album was entitled "Jagged Edge Frontier".The album received positive reviews.The song "Colder" taken from the album scaled the upper reaches of the Overplay RnB Chart for the entire year.

By 2007 The Indie Soul Movement was poised to take full control of their material and this saw the launch of ISM Records. ISM Records is the brainchild of IndieSoul songsmith Mutch Katsonga as an endeavour to expand The Indie Soul Movement's horizons in the tumultuous popular music arena. The label's first project was The Indie Soul Movement's 2007 release entitled "A Journey To the Sacred Falls".
