The Hunter (novel)

The Hunter (1962) is a crime thriller novel, written by Donald E. Westlake under the pseudonym Richard Stark. It was the basis for two feature films, Point Blank (1967) and Payback (1999).

The plot concerns a criminal, Parker, (or Walker in 'Point Blank' and Porter in 'Payback') who is himself betrayed, shot and left for dead by his partner, and his relentless pursuit to retrieve his money and wreak revenge.
