Gwen and her cousin Findabhair loves anything about fairies, in fact, their name means the "White Lady" except ones the English version and one is the Ireland version. As a child, both of them promised each other that no matter what happened, both of them will remain faithfully to the search of fairies. 16 year old Gwen goes to Ireland for the summer break, and continues the search for the fairies. Gwen and Findabhair agrees on the order of the location that they are going to visit. On their way to their first location, their bus was driven off the road. Since there was no town near them, Gwen and Findabhair decides to hitchhike. An old, kindly man picks him up in his car, and instead of driving of them to the nearest town, he drove the girls to Tara, their last location that they were planning to go to. When they got to Tara, they decided to sleep in a fairy mound. That night, Gwen had a strange dream, that Findabhair got kidnapped by a stranger. She woke up screaming, and realized that the dream, was actually true. As Gwen packs up to leave the mound, she saw a ghost, and the ghost said to her that he was a willing hostage for the hunter's moon. Gwen ran to the nearest town, and started walking around. The old man that Gwen and Findabhair hitchhiked with, came and picked up Gwen and started driving her to Dublin. As the man was driving, Gwen soon realized that the man was the person that drove the bus off the road. On the way to Dublin, the old man explained everything to Gwen, how if she wanted to find Findabhair, she's going to have to be fast, and to trust the people with red hair. He also told her that her bus leaves at 10 o'clock. The man dropped her off at a station, told her to go west to Galway Town, then to Burren in the County of Clare, and that there was a banquet tonight at twilight, and left. True to his words, a bus did come around a 10 o'clock. The bus brought her to the outskirt of Galway, and she hitchhiked into town. A businessman man named Matt gave her lunch. After lunch, she left, and soon heard her name. She saw a fox, and chased after it. But she realized that she could catch up, and soon passed out from hunger. A farmer named Katie found her and brought her home, and feed her, and made sure Gwen was alright. When Gwen woke up, she realized that it was already dusk, and she needed to find the Burren before twilight. Katie happened to know where it was, and agreed to drive her there. When they got there, Gwen made Katie leave, and she did. Soon a group of horses came from the sky, and a pack of fairies followed. Each fairy caught a horse, so did Gwen. The horses flew them to a banquet hall, and there Gwen saw Findabhair. The girls soon caught up on all the events, and Findabhair told her cousin that she's queen now. Soon, Gwen was to be tested, and she failed her first test. Suddenly she woke up in the middle of nowhere with a storm going on. Katie came and found her and brought her home. The last thing she remembered was to be at the Little Branch. The next day, Gwen managed to find the little branch, and inside was the group of fairies singing. Gwen realized that Findabhair wanted her to go to Sheegara. When she got to Sheegara, she meet the group of fairies agin. This time, they are travelling to Inch Island. But on her way, she was offered an apple, and she bit into it. As she walked, she soon passed out. But, a biked came and almost crashed into her, and took her to the wise woman. The woman named Granny healed her, and Gwen soon started being friends with the biker, Dara, Granny'ts godchild. Granny told her that Findabhair was suppose to be the bride for the king, while Gwen was intended to be the hostage. But Gwen said no in her dreams, when the king wanted to take her. So, Granny, Gwen, Dara, Katie, Matt, since both of them believes in fairies, Gwen's cousin, and her husband now has to fight the Great Worm, if they don't want anyone killed. But in the battle, Findabhair was greatly wounded, and now instead of the human hostage that the great worm wanted, he now wants a fairy. So Findabhair's husband offered, and the Great Worm took him. A year after the this, all the friends came together, and they heard a fiddle in the distance. So they followed the noise and saw Findabhair's husband.
