The Hokum Clones gained surprising popularity in the early 2000s, despite never releaseing an album. They appeared on the Liverpool student radio station, supported The Coral on their 2002 UK tour, performed regularly at the Acoustic Engine night in Liverpool and Crosby, and also at the La'Go bar's Sunday jams and Bandwagon night hosted by The Bandits.
