The Harbour Hotel & Residence is a 59-floor 256 meter (840 foot) tall skyscraper completed in 2007. This residential and hotel tower is located in Dubai Marina in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Harbour Hotel & Residence is Emirates Hotels and Resorts' second property; the first being Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa.[5] The tower has a total of 261 suites.[3]
When opened on 1 November 2007, it was known as Emirates Marina Hotel & Residence.[5] The name was changed in January 2008.[3] The reason for the change was due to the large quantity of buildings in Dubai Marina that had the word "Marina" in them.[3] To prevent confusion from their constumers, and to keep the nautical theme, the words "Emirates Marina" were changed to "The Harbour."[3]
