The Hahn Company
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Hahn Company, San Diego, California, alternately known as Ernest M. Hahn, Inc., was a major shopping center owner and developer. It is now defunct.
In 1980 Trizec Corp., Toronto, Canada, acquired the shopping center interests of developer Ernest M. Hahn, who had developed many leading major shopping centers, especially in California. The company was eventually renamed TrizecHahn, and in 1998 exited the shopping center business, with the majority of its centers west of Las Vegas being acquired by Westfield America, Inc. (precursor to The Westfield Group) and those east of Las Vegas by The Rouse Company (now part of General Growth Properties).
