The Hague University (in Dutch: De Haagse Hogeschool, abbreviated HHS) is a vocational university located in The Hague, the Netherlands. It was founded in 1987 after 14 smaller institutions in The Hague merged, some of these institutions date from the 19th century.[1]

The Hague University offers four full-time undergraduate degree programmes and 4 master degree programmes entirely in English. Most of these study programmes offer exchange semesters. Furthermore, 47 bachelor degree programmes and 12 master degree programmes are offered in Dutch.

Especially the international programmes gave the university an unique standing in Europe's educational landscape. One of these degree courses is the HEBO-faculty's European Studies programme. Fragmented in two respectively three different specialisations, HEBO-students got trained to satisfy employer's increasing demand in executives with an international background.

The Hague University has four locations:

  • Campus Laakhaven, the main location.
  • Laan van Poot, the location for sport studies.
  • Rijswijk, formerly Technische Hogeschool Rijswijk until the merger in 2003. An alternate location for technical studies.
  • Zoetermeer, an alternative location for information technology studies.
