The Gulf Today
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Gulf Today is an English-language newspaper based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
It was launched in 1996 by Dar Al Khaleej Printing & Publishing, which also publishes Al Khaleej, a popular Arabic-language newspaper.
As with all media in the UAE, The Gulf Today exercises self-censorship: the rulers of the country and emirate are lauded, while criticism of the government in general is muted.
The newspaper is largely aimed at the country's non-Arab expatriates, especially those from South Asia.
