The Graduate (novel)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Graduate is a novel written by Charles Webb that was made into an enormously successful film of the same name directed by Mike Nichols. Webb wrote the novel shortly after graduating from Williams College.
Webb has stated that he never felt comfortable with the attention the movie brought him because he felt it distracted from his status as a serious artist. Webb did not receive any royalties from the movie and has stated that he is glad it happened that way. [1]
In May, 2006 Webb announced that he has signed a deal with Random House to write a sequel to The Graduate.
The sequel, titled Home School, takes place ten years after the ending of the first novel. It was published by Hutchinson in June 2007.
