The Gospel of the Second Coming
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Gospel of the Second Coming is a 2007 book by Timothy Freke and Peter Gandy. It follows on from their series of books on Gnosticism and the historicity of Jesus, presenting their version of the Jesus as myth hypothesis [1].
The book is a departure from Freke and Gandy's usual academic style of writing, being a work of fiction that is described as a post-modern gnostic gospel for the 21st century in which Jesus as a fictional character "corrects" all the misunderstandings that have arisen since his first coming. The tagline for the book is "Jesus is back...and this time he's funny!" [2]
