[edit] Plot summary

The White Base has joined a Federation fleet and docks with a Columbus class ship to receive supplies. Bright is ordered to meet the fleet commander Wakkein aboard the Magellan. In their tactical planning Wakkein tells Bright he’s become more confident since the last time he met him. Bright says all his pilots are overworked, Amuro most of all. Wakkein says Amuro is different from the rest. Aboard White Base, Job delivers dinner to Amuro, who is doing repairs to the Gundam. Amuro thinks it’s Fraw.

At the Fortress of Solomon, Dozle is angry that Gihren sent him an incomplete Big Zam instead of more Rick Doms. He wants to know the location of the Tianem Fleet, but he’s told by his men the Minovsky particle concentration is too high.

Back at Side 6, Char and Lalah are about to board the Zanzibar. Char meets with Cameron, who says he never wants to see them again. Char warns him that Zeon has spared Side 6 only for their convenience. Cameron sees Lalah float towards the ship and asks who she is; Char responds she’s his sister.

Wakkein orders all the ships of the fleet to move ahead towards Solomon away from the Side 4 shoal zone. Wakkein orders everyone to hold out for fifteen minutes until their new weapon can be used. Amuro is wonders what weapon could it be. The countdown winds down to zero and the battle begins. The defending forces deploy mobile suits and fire beam cannons towards the invading fleet. White Base launches all its mobile suits including the G-Fighters. The other ships deploy their GMs and Balls. Public class ships lead the Federation attacks; Amuro tells himself that this is really war.

The missiles fired by the Public class ships create upon impact an interference field that deflects beam weapons fired from Solomon. Kai in his Guncannnon destroys Zakus and is saved at the last moment from a Rick Dom by Sayla’s G-Fighter.

Inside the fortress, Dozle tells his wife Zenna and his baby daughter Mineva to be prepared in the event they have to evacuate. Zenna is concerned but Dozle reassures her it’s only a precaution. Mineva is woken up by Dozle’s booming voice and cries, provoking him to laugh heartily.

Hidden by the ruins of Side 1, the Tianem Fleet prepares to fire the Solar System which consists of millions of solar panels that reflect the sunlight creating intense heat. Zeon forces detect its location and launch asteroid missiles toward it. The solar panels are aligned and the Solar System is fired at Solomon.

Amuro avoids the ray’s path after destroying a Musai. The powerful light destroys many ships and blasts a hole in the asteroid fortress. Mark reports the status of White Base. Hayato is wounded in battle and is taken to the infirmary. Fraw gives him a blood transfusion. Hayato confesses being weak as he is the only pilot who got injured. Fraw says he’ll be ok, but Hayato says he’ll never be better than Amuro. Fraw tells him that he’s a good pilot but Amuro is different from the rest.

Amuro leads a squad of GMs approaching Solomon. Kai helps blasting open a hole so that Amuro penetrates the fortress. Char is ordered to head for Solomon from Side 6. A shuttle launches bound for Granada carrying Zenna and Mineva. Inside Solomon, Dozle gives a final speech to his men, and tells them to prepare their Rick Doms and Zakus to resist the invasion. He heads towards the completed Big Zam, vowing to win the battle.
