'The Girl in Black' (Greek language:Το Κορίτσι με τα Μαύρα) is a 1956 Greek dramatic film by Cypriot director Michael Cacoyannis starting Dimitris Horn and the hauntingly lovely Greek actress Ellie Lambeti. The films takes place on the Greek island of Hydra, where two Athenian visitors become entangled in local squabbles and feuds after one of the Athenians falls in love with a local girl.

The film a Golden Globe award for Best Foreign-Language Foreign Film in 1957. [1] It was also nominated for a Golden Palm award.
