The Girl, the Gold Watch & Everything is a science fiction novel written by John D. MacDonald.
The story is about a man who inherits a gold pocket watch that can stop time for everyone but the person holding it.
The novel was loosely adapted into a 1980 TV movie starring Robert Hays and Pam Dawber. The movie was followed by a sequel, The Girl, The Gold Watch, and Dynamite.
