The Gay

The Gay were a Canadian indie rock group, based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Formed in 2001, the group consists of guitarist Tobey Black, bass guitarist Coco Culbertson, accordionist Maija Martin, pianist Ida Nilsen and drummer Keith Parry.
The group's first release, the three-song EP Gay, was released in 2002 on Mint Records. Their full-length album, You Know the Rules, followed in 2004.
Culbertson subsequently went on to form the band The Choir Practice.
