The Foundation of S.F. Success

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"The Foundation of S.F. Success" is a pastiche by Isaac Asimov of a Gilbert and Sullivan patter song from the comic opera Patience, describing how he became a successful writer. It is included in his short story collection Earth is Room Enough (1957).

It includes the classic lines: With a tiny bit of cribbin' from the works of Edward Gibbon and that Greek,Thucydides; probably referring to the inspiration for the Foundation stories.
