The Foundation for a Better Life

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Foundation for a Better Life is a non-profit, privately-funded institution founded in 2000 promoting a set of personal values (such as commitment, compassion and responsibility) it considers to benefit individuals and communities in North America and Latin America.

The Foundation is funded by billionaire Philip Anschutz[1], a noted contributor to conservative and Christian causes. Its president is Gary Dixon.

It is currently running a series of commercials promoting random acts of kindness. They have appeared on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, which does not normally air commercials, as it is funded by donations. The commercials also run regularly on The Food Network, SPEED, Fox Reality, CNN International and can occasionally be seen on other stations. In addition, they have been shown before feature films at Regal Cinemas theaters. Besides filmed ads the foundation pays for motivational poster-like billboards extolling these virtues, often with the tagline "Pass It On."

In Latin America, the foundation is known as the Fundación para una Vida Mejor in Spanish-speaking countries and Fundação para uma Vida Melhor in Portuguese.
