The Fix is an American political weblog written daily by Chris Cillizza for The Washington Post website. The blog began in October 2005, and includes a weekly "Friday Line" section where the ten closest electoral races of an electoral cycle - as judged by Cillizza - are profiled and analyzed. The blog's focus is American electoral politics, with Cillizza commenting on gubernatorial, Congressional and Presidential elections.

Cillizza is a political reporter who worked for Roll Call prior to joining The Washington Post, and he is a regular contributor to the Post on political issues. Cillizza attended the prestigious Loomis Chaffee prep school and graduated in 1994. He is a 1998 alumnus of Georgetown University and a native of Connecticut.
