This EP includes the songs recorded in Hole's first ever studio session, in 1990. It was produced by the band and Falling James Moreland (Courtney Love's then-husband) for the label Sympathy for the Record Industry. The label took three songs of the session and released as Hole's first single. The songwriting credits are mistaken, according to BMI. Love officially wrote "Retard Girl" by herself, and the rest of the songs are credited to her and the guitar player Eric Erlandson.
