The Fence (or The Flower of the Fence[1]) is an upcoming romantic film set in a Nazi concentration camp. This film was previously titled Love is a Survivor.[2]

The movie is based on the true story of concentration camp survivor Herman Rosenblat, and is set during the Holocaust. It follows Mr Rosenblat from his teen years, when he falls for a girl outside the camp, to his reunion with his love years after the war.

The movie revolves around a beautiful young girl, Roma, who captivates Herman and keeps him alive by tossing him bread and apples from outside the fence. Herman and Roma, who now live in New York, amazingly met up again in America on a blind date and are still happily married after surviving the Nazi horror.[3]

Atlantic Overseas Pictures Co. teamed up with Berlin-based producer Thierry Potok to produce The Fence.[4] Filming will occur in Hungary and will start August of 2008.[5]
