The Fabulous Philosopher's Stone is a comics story written and drawn by Carl Barks for Walt Disney, featuring Donald Duck. The story was published in the US in 1955 (story code W US 10-02, 24pp, color).

Uncle Scrooge takes Donald Duck and his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie on an expedition to find the Philosopher's Stone, a mythical artifact that would turn common metals into gold. The stone is eventually found, and works. But it has some rather unpleasant side effects...
Scrooge is eventually forced to give up the stone and gives it to Monsieur Mattressface of The International Money Council.
Don Rosa later wrote two sequels to this story which include The Crown of the Crusader Kings and A Letter From Home/The Old Castle's Other Secret.
This story features the first appearance of Monsieur Mattressface.
