"The Eyes of Truth" is a 1994 single created by the musical group, Enigma. This single was one of Enigma's four singles from its second album, The Cross of Changes.

Similar with "Age of Loneliness", the song had samples of Mongolian Folk Music and samples taken from Anne Dudley's album, Songs from the Victorious City. It also contains samples from U2's song "Ultraviolet", Peter Gabriel's "Kiss That Frog" and Genesis' "Dreaming While You Sleep".

In 1999, the song was popularized from its artistic use in the worldwide trailer for the movies The Matrix, and also for The Long Kiss Goodnight. As is the trend for many trailers, the song did not appear in either film or soundtrack.

For the case of The Matrix, the song was sampled for the theatrical trailer release. The Matrix DVD main menu music is not "The Eyes of Truth", but many listeners feel that it was inspired by the Enigma piece.
