The Essential Byrds is a comprehensive two-CD compilation album released by American band The Byrds in 2003 as part of Sony BMG's Essential series. Their previous three official "hits" packages were 1967's The Byrds' Greatest Hits, 1972's The Best of The Byrds: Greatest Hits, Volume II and 1998's Super Hits. The Essential Byrds never charted in the U.S. or the UK.
