IMDb profile

The Dying Gaul is a 2005 drama film

Robert Sandrich (Peter Sarsgaard) is a novice screenwriter who has written a movie script based on his boyfriend's death by AIDS-related cerebral tuberculosis. Movie producer Jeffrey (Campbell Scott) and his wife, Elaine (Patricia Clarkson), both love the screenplay, but Jeffrey is willing to green-light the picture only if Robert changes the story so that it is about straight people. Jeffrey's hidden attraction toward Robert leads all parties down a dangerous path.
