The Doctor Came at Dawn is Smog's fifth album, released in 1996. It was engineered by Jim O'Rourke, who would later eventually become the producer of the two following albums Red Apple Falls and Knock Knock. "Lize" features Callahan's sometime creative partner Cindy Dall.
