The Definitive Collection is a 2005 Patty Loveless compilation album released by MCA Records, her recording company between 1986 and 1992. It is an attempt by MCA to cash in on Loveless' popularity by compiling all of her charting singles and one album track recorded during her early years on the label (1986-1992) and two singles from her Epic Records years.

It was not produced under Loveless' supervision, nor her husband's, Emory Gordy, Jr., who is her producer.
