The Death Collector (also known as (The) Family Enforcer) is a 1976 low-budget crime film directed by Ralph De Vito and starring Joseph Cortese, Joe Pesci and Frank Vincent. Also entitled Family Enforcer, it was Ralph De Vito's first and last effort as a director.

Jerry Bolanti, a mafia-connected hoodlum and part time dancer, is released from jail and needs a job. He pays a visit to his friend's restaurant and becomes a debt collector, and his first job is to collect from Bernie Feldshuh. Meanwhile, two other debt collectors that work together have a third collector killed. Joe, the second in command of the team of collectors, employs Jerry as the new leader of the first in command. They raid a shop manager, steal $40,000, and then rent a hotel room.
Later, a hired hitman kills the one of the collectors while the other collector is outside the hotel room. Joe is shot and his body is hidden and found by the Jerry. The last remaining collector hunts down the hitman and chases him into a field a shoots him with a shotgun in the torso twice. The collector is looking for a car in a junkyard and is shot more than 10 times by three hitmen.

Upon seeing Joe Pesci and Frank Vincent in The Death Collector, Martin Scorsese cast them in Raging Bull. He later teamed them in Goodfellas and Casino.
