The Dead One is a 1961 black-and-white independent film created by Barry Mahon. Independent International distributed a color version of the film on DVD under a new title, Blood of the Zombie.

The film is set in New Orleans, Louisiana. A young woman's cousin has recently been married and being the sole surviving male, sets to claim the family's plantation. Unwilling to give up what she believes to be hers, she uses voodoo to resurrect her dead brother (referred to as "The Dead One") to kill her enemies.
